We have enjoyed our annual World Book day and came to school in some fantastic outfits! We did liots of work aroubd books and reading throughout the day too.

We have been working closely with our Year 6 prayer sponsors who are guiding us in our preparation for our sacrament. They are praying for us in the run up to our special day too!
Year 3 were lucky enough to have extra teachers in class for our Reconciliation Workshops! Were were joined by some of our parents throughout the week who were supporting us in our Reconciliation preparation.

We have been enjoying drama work when Northern Arts have come in to teach us. We have linked this to our project work on The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe. There are definitely some budding actors in Year 3!
We have begun a new topic in Geography, Extreme Earth! So far we have explored the layers of the Earth and made our own models. We have also started learning about Vocanoes, beginning with tectonic plates!
We have been enjoying lots of practical work in our topic on forces and magnets. We have made predictions, tested out theories and drawn conclusions from our results.
We enjoyed celebrating our first Class Mass in church with the theme of 'The Christian Family.'
We have been enjoying learning all about the Jewish religion this week. We have enjoyed a special assembly and workshop with Mr Cohen, who shared lots of facts and special Jewish items with us. We have also enjoyed learning about the Shema and the Mezuzah. We have even made our own...take a look!
We have supported Children in Need again this year by bringing our teddies to school for the day! Our teddies enjoyed our Maths challenge today in our 'Problem Solving Friday!' They were very good!
We have been investigating how photo frames are made and have had a go at strengthening paper in preparation for making our own.
In Year 3, we are trying hard to learn our times tables. We even got to complete an outdoor treasure hunt!
We made our own amulets at the Museum and have now decorated them! We think they look great and would be fabulous for a mummy!
We used our knowledge gained at the Museum to mummify oranges back at school! We used the process similar to how the Ancient Egyptians were mummified! It was messy but great fun and we are looking forward to seeing the mummification process take shape over the coming weeks!
We have been thinking of questions and answers about the Annunciation.
We enjoyed a trip to Leeds City Museum to further our learning on the Ancient Egyptians! We had great fun mummifying 'Sonny!'
