Year 4 Blog 2018–19

Class building activities in the first week back. We enjoyed problem solving with plates, code breaking with numbers and hula hoop team games. All these activities will help us work together and learn.

We spent an amazing day at Skelton Grange learning skills to help us survive in the Stone Age. This gave us an insight into how resourceful and ingenious our stone age ancestors were. The experience will help us to deepen our understanding of pre-history. We will be using our new knowledge to help us across the curriculum.

We have learnt all about the Caves of Lascaux and the Le Caeva de las Manos (caves of the hands). We have created our own artwork to replicate these using charcoal and chalk pastels. Children have displayed their work in class for everyone to see.

We have been exploring Roman Numerals outside making the highest numbers we can using our bodies!

TIMES TABLES Year 4 have been working out which facts they need to brush up on and designing a board game to work on them.
