We worked really hard to produce art work to interpret the story of Rose Blanche.

Year 5 looked great in their evacuee costumes.

Year 5 had a fantastic day as evacuees at Lotherton Hall. They learnt what to do in order to prepare for the wounded soldiers arriving, how to carry out first aid on the soldiers who needed attention and how to send and receive morse code. They even had to head to the chapel for shelter when they heard the air-raid siren sound!!

What fantastic comic strips re-telling the life of St Martin de Porres. We used this information to think about his life and how we can show understanding of how his beliefs shaped his life. We also made links to how we follow his example in our daily life.

World War 2 cityscapes during the blitz.

Have a look below to watch the fantastic films made by Year 5 to promote anti-bullying. They are also on the St Mary’s you tube channel.

Thank you to everyone who came to our advent workshop. The children made some beautiful crafts for Christmas.

What makes a good parachute? We had fun finding out!

What a fantastic ‘Bake off’ in Year 5. The children have really enjoyed taking part in the bake off and offering their delicious cakes / buns. We have all put on a few pounds this term!

A fantastic and worthy winner…Lucia. Well done.

What wonderful world war 2 gardens.

Using our research and computing skills to create fascinating presentations about Sikhism during our multi-faith week.
