We were enjoying yet more snow today in Year 5.
We have really enjoyed our last few weeks of drama linked to Oranges in no-man's land. The children performed brilliantly to a fantastic audience in the last week which showcased all of their hard work and understanding of the text.
Some quotes from the children:
"It helped me to understand what the people were going through in the war in Beirut."
"I really enjoyed it and it helped me to have empathy with the characters when writing my diary extract."
Thank you for your wonderful company at Marrick Priory, Year 5. You were all fantastic in very difficult conditions. No complaining...just sheer determination and enjoyment. Well done.
The children have all contributed to a page in the class beatitude book. Well done all of you.
Year 5 have really enjoyed working with Northern Arts Factory this week. They have been exploring conflict and war linked to our class novel 'Oranges in no-man's land'. Look out for further work over the coming weeks.
Year 5 and Year 6 had a fantastic day dressing up and taking part in all the activities.
